The two parallel concrete walkways on either side of the river make up the River Walk, which winds under bridges and connects to many of the main areas throughout San Antonio.

The Alamo is one major attraction that the River Walk connects to. This US National Historic Landmark is a very important part of Texas history. Therefore, residents of River Walk apartments should not forget to go visit the Alamo.

For those who celebrate Mardi Gras, the first annual Mardi Gras Night Parade at the San Antonio River Walk started in 2005. It's an easy stroll from River Walk apartments and transportation to New Orleans isn't necessary.

An essential experience that residents of River Walk apartments should have is the boat tour. In addition to regular boat tours year round, there is annual canoe race that takes place at the San Antonio River Walk.
